One of my favorite parts of each month is receiving all my beauty subscription boxes in the mail and finding out what new items I get to test out. Honestly, it might be one of my friends’ favorite times because I do share with them some of the products that I receive. But even better, I love sharing what I received with the world so you can get a sneak peek or decide if you want to subscribe for future months. Keep reading for spoilers and my review of the Allure Beauty Box in February 2023.
What is the Allure Beauty Box?
This monthly beauty subscription box is a hand-picked curated box of beauty goodies, sent to you from the editors of Allure magazine. They are always busy at work testing and discovering all the new products for the magazine, but what a great way for us to get in on the action with only the best products. If you want to know if the subscription is worth it, you can check out my post here for all the details.

TOTAL BOX VALUE $133.50 (based on price for trial sizes listed below)
Beauty Bakerie Milk & Honey Highlighting Palette
This two-time Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner has 4 versatile highlight shades: pink, champagne, bronze, and gold. A shade for any look you want to create that is sure to wow. These also make amazing eyeshadows and can be mixed with your blush. This came in a full-size palette and adorable honeycomb packaging.
YSL Beauty Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara
This volume-building and lengthening jet-black mascara helps to create bold, lush lashes that don’t look clumpy or spidery. This item was a tester size and was .06 fl oz. The retail price for this is $29 for .3 fl oz. Based on that price and size I estimate this to be approx $5.80 worth of product.
D’Alba Piedmont Aromatic Spray Serum
This refreshing face mist is packed with natural hydrators like rose oil, avocado oil, and sunflower seed oil. Spray this on your face to help combat the drying heat of the winter and the cold temps of the outdoors. I also love to carry spray serums when I travel. Road trips and smaller spray bottles for air travel can help refresh the skin.
Tula Skincare The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser
This full-size Tula makes this box worth it all on its own. This soft gel cleanser comes packed with probiotics and superfoods to help gently cleanse, soothe and nourish the skin. The cleanser foams slightly under water and removes makeup and dirt without being overly drying to the skin. While I prefer my cleansers to be unscented, this has a light fresh clean scent to it.
Sweet Chef Beet & Vitamin A Fresh Pressed Sheet Mask
Time to pamper yourself with this K-Beauty brand sheet bask that uses beet and retinol to help smooth and soften skin and refine pores.
Sephora Collection Nourishing Moisturizer with Prebiotics
This moisturizer is tough enough to help combat winter dry skin but goes on feeling light and airy. The formula is fragrance-free and has a dewy finish thanks to its botanical oils. This trial size is 20mL whereas the full-price option is 50mL and $18. I estimate this to be worth $7.20.
Overall February 2023 Review
This box has a retail value of $133, well worth the $23 in my opinion. While I wouldn’t have tried many of these products, the Tula Cleanser has been on my list for a while to try. I love getting mascara samples to test out as well or else I fall into the routine of using the same one over and over. Getting to try the rest of the products out is just a bonus.

[…] This box has a retail value of $115, and while the Tarte Shadow Liner made this box worth the price, the whole box itself was sort of underwhelming. The sizes of the items are visibly small, even the two items that are full size (tarte and mudmasky) but the box sort of falls flat otherwise. Still glad I’m a subscriber because it still cost me less than have this subscription and get a couple items I want to try, but I definitely would have been disappointed if this were my first box. The good news is I know it’s not always this way. I loved my box from last month, (you can find that one here). […]
