Allure Beauty Box March 2023 Review & Spoilers
It’s my favorite part of the month again, Allure Beauty Box time! Nothing gives me more joy than opening up this box of beauty treats and finding new products to keep in my beauty routine. I love sharing what I get in each box in case you decide you want to sign up for the box yourself, or even if you just want to virtually open the boxes with me. So here are the spoilers and my review of the Allure Beauty Box in March 2023.
What is the Allure Beauty Box?
The Allure Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service that delivers a selection of beauty products to your doorstep. Each box contains a mix of full-size and deluxe sample-sized products from both well-known and up-and-coming beauty brands. The allure (see what I did there?) of the Beauty Box lies in the opportunity to discover new products and brands, and to try out high-quality, premium beauty items at an affordable price. The editors of Allure Magazine have already tested these out for us and they only select the best products to share with us. For a more indepth description and to know if its worth it for you, check out this post that I wrote about the Allure Beauty Box Subscription.
What is in the Allure Beauty Box March 2023 Box?
For $23 (including shipping) here is what I received for March:
- Tarte Quick Stick Waterproof Shadow & Liner in Rose Gold Luster & Black – $26
- Belif Aqua Bomb Overnight Lip Mask – $22 for 0.7 oz
- MudMasky Vitamin-Infused Eye Serum – $63 for 30mL
- Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil – $9.99 for 2oz
- Dionis Hand & Body Goat Milk Cream in Milk & Honey – $12 for 3.3 oz
- Cotz Flawless Complexion SPF Tinted – $27.50 for 2.5 oz
- Cetaphil Deep Hydration Skin Restoring Water Gel– $27.99 for 1.7oz
TOTAL BOX VALUE $115.54 (based on price for trial sizes listed below)
Tarte Quick Stick Waterproof Shadow & Liner
This double duty product comes with a Rose Gold Luster shimmery shadow on one end and a smooth charcoal-black eye liner on the other. I love a good two for one product and especially one that can make everyday makeup an easy task. This retails for $26 on the tarte website, so we’ve already covered the price of this months subscription in the one item alone.
Belif Aqua Bomb Overnight Lip Mask
This hydrating lip treatment is made with botanical centella asiatica, which is soothing and hydrating for the lips. Plus it contains shea butter to help moisturize. The gel-like formula isn’t heavy or sticky and can be used under your lipstick/gloss in the morning, and again at night to keep that perfect pout. This retails for $22 for 0.7 oz. This sample is 0.1 oz so the value would be $3.14.
MudMasky Vitamin-Infused Eye Serum
This undereyes serum is packed with a whole alphabet of vitamins: C, A, B, K, D, F, and E. This mix will hydrate and soothe while also brightening and protecting the skin. Retail price for this is $63 for 30mL which is the size received.
Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil
I will admit that I’m not great about taking care of my scalp and hair, but this oil intrigues me. It cools moisturizes dry scalp which I suffer from and it smoothes split ends. I’ll be trying this one to see if it helps my scalp. This item retails for $9.99 for the 2 oz bottle that was in the box.
Dionis Hand & Body Goat Milk Cream in Milk & Honey
Especially in winter, having a lotion ready to help nourish the hand and body is a necessity. This one is nongreasy, while it soothes and softens the skin. The retail on this is $12 for 3.3oz. The sample in the box was 1oz so that would value at $3.64.
Cotz Flawless Complexion SPF 50 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen
We all need SPF daily, but I’m from FL so its especially imperative to be covered head to toe in sunscreen. This mineral sunscreen has zinc oxide and an SPF of 50. I can’t wait to put this to the test against my tried and true daily go to. This retails for $27.50 for 2.5 oz, however the sample in the box was 0.35 oz so I would value this at $3.85.
Cetaphil Deep Hydration Skin Restoring Water Gel
This hydrating, moisturizing gel contains hyaluronic gel and glycerin to keep you hydrated, plump and smooth but the lightweight gel formula glides on and doesn’t feel heavy. It’s oil-free and great for all skin types. This retails for $27.99 for 1.7 oz but the 0.36oz sample would be valued at $5.92.
Overall March 2023 Review
This box has a retail value of $115, and while the Tarte Shadow Liner made this box worth the price, the whole box itself was sort of underwhelming. The sizes of the items are visibly small, even the two items that are full size (tarte and mudmasky) but the box sort of falls flat otherwise. Still glad I’m a subscriber because it still cost me less than have this subscription and get a couple items I want to try, but I definitely would have been disappointed if this were my first box. The good news is I know it’s not always this way. I loved my box from last month, (you can find that one here).
I’ll be back next month when I receive the box again. But what did YOU think? Have you tried any of these and love them? Tell me below and follow me on Instagram here where I’m chatting beauty on the go.
