Revitalize Your Skin with LED Therapy using the Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Mask

Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Therapy Mask

As we age, taking care of our skin becomes more important than ever. Women aged 35 and up often face the challenge of maintaining a youthful, radiant complexion while battling fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.

The quest for the perfect skincare solution has led to a plethora of innovative products, and one such standout is the Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Mask. Harnessing the power of LED therapy, this cutting-edge device promises to help you achieve that enviable glow while combating the visible signs of aging. I knew nothing about LED therapy or this mask but I was intrigued enough to buy it and test it out for this review.

What is LED therapy?

LED therapy, sometimes known by its fancier name, photobiomodulation, or simply low-level light therapy, is a non-invasive skincare treatment that makes use of natural red and near-infrared light wavelengths to work its magic on your skin. This technology has been gaining popularity for its wide array of therapeutic uses – from healing wounds to easing pain, and, of course, improving our skin.

What are the benefits of LED therapy?

Introducing LED therapy into your skincare routine is like inviting a fairy godmother to your own personal beauty ball. The benefits are simply enchanting:

  • Collagen Boost: As we age, our collagen production naturally slows down, leading to those pesky wrinkles and sagging skin. Red light therapy works to increase collagen levels, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother, more youthful complexion.
  • Circulation Makeover: Orange light therapy improves blood flow and circulation, bringing life-giving nutrients and oxygen straight to your skin. Better circulation means better skin tone and texture, leaving you with a radiant, healthy glow.
  • Inflammation Tamer: Blue light therapy is a powerful force against inflammation, making it a fantastic treatment for anyone struggling with skin conditions like rosacea, acne, or eczema. By calming inflammation, blue light therapy helps to reduce irritation, and promote faster healing for your lovely skin.

By adding LED light therapy to your skincare routine, you can reap all these amazing benefits. So, go ahead and embrace this technology – your skin will thank you!

Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Therapy Mask

What is the Wrinklit LED Mask?

So now that you are hooked on getting the benefits of led light therapy into your skin routine, I introduce the Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Mask. Designed for those of us who adore self-care, this wireless re-chargeable mask makes it easy for us to incorporate this in our busy lives. Best of all, the $99 price point makes this a great entry level into LED therapy.

What conditions can this mask treat?

This mask has 3 different LED light colors, each with a different purpose.

  • Red Light: Reduces redness and promotes anti-aging through collagen production and increasing elastins.
  • Blue Light: Good for acne-prone skin, this kills bacteria and has been said to help reduce sun damage.
  • Orange Light: Brightens dull Skin, reduces dark spots and can help with firmness of the skin. This color can help give your skin a beautiful glow.

How to use the Wrinklit LED Mask?

Using the Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Mask is easy right out of the box.  Simply cleanse your face, ensuring it’s free from makeup and impurities. Next, put on the heart-shaped LED mask and sit back, relax, and let the mask work its magic for 15 minutes. I like to use this each night while I indulge in some of my reality tv guilty pleasures. When I started I would use the red light only.  As I used it more and more, I added a round of blue and orange lights after the red.  So a total of 3 sessions (about 45 minutes) is perfect for a full episode of something salacious.  Once the time is up, I remove the mask and apply the rest of my nighttime skincare routine including moisturizer to lock in all the benefits. Setting this routine nightly, I have found that this triggers my brain to unwind and relax, something that is very hard for my noisy ADHD brain.

How to clean the Wrinklit LED Mask?

Keeping your Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Mask clean is an absolute breeze. After each use, simply take a soft, slightly damp cloth – and delicately wipe down the interior surface of the mask.  Once your mask is spotless, let it air-dry in a safe place before storing it away for your next fabulous self-care session.

Wearing the Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Therapy Mask

Wrinklit LED Mask Review

I have been using this mask now for about 5 months, on average 3-4 nights/week for a total of 45 minutes.  I have absolutely loved the results from this mask. As I mentioned above, this is now how I start to wind down for the evening and it relaxes me each night.

How long until you start seeing results?

I didn’t start to see results until I was about a month into the routine but I definitely noticed a difference in my skin. Particularly when I have a breakout, I find the blue light heals it quickly. But as I kept doing this I could feel my skin getting smoother and I could see improvements in my overall tone.

What should you avoid while using your Wrinklit LED Mask?

Pay very close attention to only cleansing your skin before you use it. I didn’t pay attention at first and was doing my whole skincare routine, including retinol and then putting the light therapy on. Well, light on retinol is a recipe for burning the skin. Trust me, you don’t want to do that. But luckily my skin healed quickly once I did start using it properly.

Do I recommend getting this mask?

I highly recommend this mask. I love the price point for someone who wants to try out light therapy and doesn’t want to make a huge financial commitment until they know if its something you can stick with. It’s rechargeable, and wireless which makes it very convenient. Plus its easy to clean. All great pluses, in my book.

Where can I buy the Wrinklit LED Mask?

Skin Gym Wrinklit LED Therapy Mask

This mask can be purchased online from Skin Gym directly here or you can purchase it from Ulta and pickup in some stores, like I did. The great thing with Ulta is the amazing return policy so if you find yourself not using it, or you don’t like it, you can return within 60 days.

Is this something you think you will try? What other skincare questions and crazes are you curious about? Trying skincare products is one of my favorite things, although time consuming as I like to take a few months to test the items out. It does look a little horror movie-esque. But I like to think of it like an added security system for my home. If anyone breaks in they’ll surely be terrified seeing me wearing this. 🤣

This LED mask sounds intriguing! I like that it only took a month for you to start seeing a difference in your skin. Sounds like something I could use not only to help with my aging skin but also a few relaxing minutes spent in the mask.
