Strivectin Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum: The Ultimate Skin Fix!
It feels like every day we’re hearing the words Vitamin C and Retinol when it comes to our skincare routine. But if you’re anything like me when I started on my skincare journey, I had no idea what these were and why I needed them. So dive in with me as we unpack the skincare mysteries that are Vitamin C and Retinol, and why Strivectin’s Super-C Serum might just be the fairy godmother that your skin’s been waiting for.
What does Vitamin C do for your skin?
Did you wake up one day and think your skin looked dull, had hyperpigmentation, and overall just looked….old? Enter Vitamin C. This zesty hero fights off pesky free radicals, tells hyperpigmentation to take a backseat, and offers a radiant glow that says, “I’ve had 8 hours of sleep” (even if it was just 5). Vitamin C was the first skincare product I added to my basic wash, moisturize and SPF routine. I didn’t really understand why I needed it but it wound up making a huge difference, in my hyperpigmentation and helping my skin be radiant and glow, exactly what it promises to do.
What is retinol and why do I need this in my anti-aging skincare routine?
It feels like every anti-aging commercial or product talks about retinol. Part of the Vitamin A family, it’s your anti-aging BFF. It boosts collagen production, combats fine lines, and enhances skin elasticity as our natural production decreases with age. As with most skincare, retinol is a long game. It can take 4-6 months to see results from retinol and you have to build up to using it daily. For an ADHD person like me, this was something that felt painful to wait for results. I started my skincare journey by adding a moisturizer with retinol and eventually moved to a separate retinol from the dermatologist. Once I started being consistent, I became a retinol believer.
Can you use Vitamin C and Retinol together?
Initial results for this question will tell you that you should use Vitamin C and Retinol in your skincare routine, but not necessarily together. It’s recommended to use Vitamin C in the morning, and retinol at night. You get the benefits of both, without having them be too harsh for your skin. However, if they are formulated correctly like they are in the Strivectin Super-C serum, then they complement each other’s strengths and make your skin the real winner.
Who is Strivectin?
Strivectin has been a leader in the aging and changing skincare world for over 20 years. They are founded on the principles of biomedical research and science, so their products actually get the results they promise. They validate their formulas through independent clinical testing so we know we can trust their products.
What is the Strivectin Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C serum?
The Strivectin Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C serum truly has it all. Vitamin C helps to brighten dull skin, Acerola Cherry extract helps to restore clarity (and I think gives it a pleasant smell), while the retinol smooths out fine lines, improves uneven texture, and boosts the skin’s elasticity. Also included in this super serum is NIA-114 which is Strivectin’s proprietary form of Niacin. which helps to strengthen the skin barrier and keep it glowing. Truly, this serum is the amazing all-in-one combo we didn’t know we needed.
How do I use the Strivectin Super C for best results?
For that award-winning glow:
- Cleanse your face with your cleanser of choice.
- Shake well, and apply 1-3 drops to your face both AM and PM.
- Follow with Moisturizer.
- Always, and I mean ALWAYS, use sunscreen in the AM.
What results can be expected?
According to the clinical results:
- 97% showed an improvement in brightness in their skin in just 6 weeks.
- 100% showed an improvement in skin firmness in 6 weeks.
- 100% of participants saw no irritation to the skin over the course of 12 weeks.
My Personal Review
I received a sample of this serum in one of the hundreds of gift-with-purchase samplers I received last year. Tried it in the hopes I’d hate it. I didn’t. I fell in love almost instantly. Before trying this one, I have used 2 different vitamin C serums before this, and I use retinol consistently as well. All those products were also great, but I love the combo of this. Should also note that while I’m mostly a fan of unscented skincare products, this serum has a sweet cherry smell to it and for me I love it. I use this each day in the morning and every other night, alternating with my retinol serum. I love the way it makes my skin look and feel and while it is pricey at $72.00 a bottle, Strivectin has tons of sales so you can frequently get it for less.
Where can I buy the Strivectin Super C?
This can be purchased from Strivectin here or you can also get this amazing serum at Ulta here. Strivectin stands by their product, so they have a 30-day return policy on gently used products. And Ulta also allows returns for up to 60 days. Either way, you can try the product and make a decision for yourself if this one belongs in your routine.

I will be checking this out! Thanks!
I appreciated your explanation of how to use both products (retinol and vitamin C) morning and night. Great ideas! Skin care can be so complicated…but sure is necessary to avoid those wrinkles!
There are so many options for face products. Thanks for narrowing it down a bit for me!
I agree. It’s so hard to decipher what is important to use with your skin. It’s all so personal.
I always find it so difficult to know what to use om my skin. There are tons of products on the market and they all look the same. Thanks for making it a bit easier!
You’re welcome. Skin care is so personal. It’s hard to know what to buy. I felt the same when I started.
Thanks so much for this. I recently started with retinol, and so far so good, but I think it does take a bit to see the first results. Will definitely consider vitamin C too. Thanks again, really interesting read!!
It takes a while. I’m so impatient and had a hard time with it but it does work with consistency. Hang in there! 2024 you will love the results.
This is great! I’ve been looking on some new products and this with so many out there it is nice to read an honest review.
